The Reindeer Project is committed to spreading awareness about climate change and Arctic reindeer.
OUR CAUSE.
Climate change in the Arctic is thoroughly researched, but information about how Arctic climate change is affecting reindeer is not as easily accessible. This site was created in order to provide a generalized overview of the background information surrounding what we do know about how climate change is affecting reindeer in the Arctic. So far, rising temperatures are making life pretty difficult for reindeer populations, from limiting food sources to decreasing fitness. I hope that after reading through the resources on this site, you might think more critically about the implications of human behavior, and how you can begin to make a change.
